I bought this camera not for sound but picture.It does the job well.... sound would have been good with it but for my purposes it is great.

- About what I expected from a $15 CCTV camera
This a cheap CCTV camera. The video if very grainy. It's good enough to see if someone is standing in the hallway outside your door, or to see if someone is waiting in the public area of your business,but don't expect much detail. It's sensitive to infrared. When I point my infrared remote controls at the lens, they show up nice and bright on screen.
