Rating:
- Good, basic printer
I've had this printer for 30 days, and so far no problems.I haven't done anything special with it or asked anything special of it.It does a good job both in print and color-have not done any photos with it yet.It is noisey however, and it sounds cheap. It seams to make random noises when turned on but with no printing lined up as tho it's re-aligning the print head. The shiny black surface is a dust magnet.I have had other Canon printers, and have always been satisfied with them.
Rating:
- love it
I like this printer so much that I have 2 of them. Easy to work with. Vista compatable. Ink cartridges being seperate there is no ink wasted. Print is photo quality.

- buy it if you can
If you can find one buy it. I bought mine today for $40.

It's much faster than my ancient printer. (see above posting concerning printers with the printer head in the cartridges)The quality is very good. Documents look great. Photos are awesome. Installation was a snap.

- Perfect basic printer
Okay, I haven't fully read all the reviews, but I skimmed the titles and I wanted to address a few things.
First, this printer is NOT slow.Judge the speed of the printer by the second page it kicks out, not the first. This printer is fast and snappy whether you're printing color or text. The FIRST time you use it, it has to load the system with ink and prep the print heads. This takes a while. After that, each time it's down or an extended period, it automatically preps the head again, ...
