- Perfect for two!
We are empty nesters and I generally don't slow cook for company, so this is the perfect slow cooker for the two of us.Looks great and I love the retractable cord!Very easy to use.
Rating: - Flawed after all
I was anticipating the fake chrome handles on the body of the appliance(thanks to some reviews read here), but I was not expecting a fake chrome handle on the lid. Even if I had known it were fake, I would not have expected the fake chrome finish to bubble and peel off after just 2 uses (and gentle handwashing too!!!). This is a huge disappointment in quality.
Unlike some others, I have no complaints about rattling lids, or settings being too hot ... all that works great in my case, ... Read More

We have had this slow cooker for three months, using it twice a week.So far we are very satisfied.
In researching our purchase and reading numerous reviews, we found that the Cuisinart generally received positive evaluations.There were a few negative ones, but obviously we discounted them and went ahead with the Cuisinart anyway.Some reviewers criticized it for overheating food, but overheating in a slow cooker is usually a sign that the pot was underfilled.A good slow cooker ... My very old slow cooker is rarely used. It has no keep-warm setting and is huge. It was a gift. Since there is only two of us, this was just not an appliance that I reached for. Then I found some really good cookbooks for smaller units and with much more interesting recipes than the old dump 'n run versions with ingredients like the ever present cream soups. Those older recipes were too high in salt and fat for us. These newer books recommended tailoring the crock size to the recipe. I needed a smaller ... Read More
Rating: - A Slow Cooker At Last
We simply love the Cuisinart 4 Quart Slow Cooker. After struggling for years with a Rival pot which cooked much too hot and fast it is a great to have a true slow cooker that you can depend on. The final straw was a great batch of ham and bean soup which was ruined by the Rival pot when it was left for 2 hours on warm. When we went to eat it was nothing but bean mush.
