Amazon.com Product Description -- 10/02/08:
The GO 920 and it's sibling, the 920T, are TomTom's new flagship portable gps navigators, replacing the GO 910. The GO 920T comes bundled with TomTom's RDS-TMC traffic receiver and a one-year subscription to the Clear Channel traffic service, which allows users to receive real-time traffic information. The traffic receiver is sold as a separate accessory for the GO 920.
The first big difference you'll notice is that the 920s are much thinner than the 910. TomTom introduced this slim form factor with last year's ONE. With the release of the top-of-the-line 920s, TomTom now offers a full range of units in the new form factor (see a feature comparison for all of TomTom's GO and ONE devices). When you turn it on, you'll also notice the increased performance and features the 920s packs into their slimmer form.

- Disappointed!
I've always been convinced that the TomTom was the best GPS available, and told all my friends about it, until I finally bought one myself. I've had it for two years now, and although it has served me well when it worked there were some issues with Customer Service.
1. Since we use the TomTom in both the United States and in Europe it made sense to purchase a GPS with both sets of maps. However, when I first received the device it only came with the RDS cable for the US, which doesn't ... Read More

- Best of The Best
I was a Garmin user for years (StreetPilot 530 then Nuvi 650) but after GPS market research last year I decided to buy Go 920T (June '08). I did not like it at first because of too complicated menu. BUT I did get latest firmware and map updates last month (Mar '09) and since then my opinion about this unit has changed - I LOVE this device!!! Especially Lane Assistant which shows a picture of upcoming exits on highways marking these lanes you should be on to continue your trip without mistakes. When ... Read More

- Does Not Work with Iphone Data Sharing
If traffic alert is important to you and have an Iphone do not buy it.They are not compatible for data sharing. Everything else is works fine.

- Great GPS, few cons.
This is a great GPS, directions are pretty good, options are great, sometimes adds a little extra distance and a few goofy turn-arounds.The traffic functions are good, only limited by the info put out by Clear Channel. My biggest complaint about the 920 T is the FM transmitter, no auto find function, so it is questionable for transmitting on long trips and the signal strength seems a little lacking.

- worked things out
