- No "Bingo" for me
The cables tested O.K. with my Multi-Meter, however, the best I could receive on my computer was very "spotty" sound and no video. I could find no drivers on the "diamondmm dot com" web site (if that was my problem); I could get no help from the "Knowledge Base;" and I was not able to get a response from the (U.S.) MultiMedia Help Desk.
I suspect there needs to be a little work done to make the enclosed software compatible with Vista.

I got the Diamond VC500 One Touch Video Capture Devicefor my son, so he could hook up to his xbox and make videos for you tube.We have windows vista,just inserted cd,followed instuctions,within 15 mins we were recording.I would recommend this to any gamer.You can see video quality on You tube,@ (gears of war 2 diamond vc500 test)He could have went in and adjust the color,brighten,but he didn't think of it in time. 5 stars

I sided with the "good" reviews I read and bought this, but I should have trusted the "bad" reviews.I tried this on Vista and XP, and it did not work for either system.When capturing, it looked like it would be fine, but then on playback, the video was about half speed with the audio at regular speed.Very disappointing.

I ordered this unit to be used as part of a setup to monitor blue birds, nesting in my back yard bird house. The device works a advertised, and captures good quality pictures. I am currently using it capture video from a wireless camera setup and it works flawlessly. I have mentioned about the setup and this device at [...].

I have been wanting to capture analog video to the computer for years now and never had a simple device to do it until now. This one just worked with very little messing around. The only recommendation I would make is to have a relatively fast PC with USB 2.0 or you might get choppy video. Other than that it is as close to plug and play you can get for a video capture device.
