This product can be administered without regard for the timing of meals. Adults and children 12 years of age and over: One or two tablets every 12 hours. Do not exceed 4 tablets in 24 hours. Children under 12 years of age: Do not use. Store between 20-25°C (68-77°F). See bottom of bottle for lot code and expiration date. Ingredients: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Active Ingredients: in each extended-release tablet: Guaifenesin (600 mg) (Expectorant) Inactive Ingredients: Carbomer 934P NF, FD&C Blue 1, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose USP, Magnesium Stearate NF, Microcrystalline Cellulose NF, Sodium Starch Glycolate NF Warnings: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Do not use for children under 12 years of age. Ask a doctor before use if you have persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema. cough accompanied by too much phlegm (mucus). Stop use and ask a doctor if cough lasts more than 7 days, comes back, or occurs with fever, rash, or persistent headache. These could be signs of a serious illness. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. Tamper evident: do not use if neckband is broken.

- Mucinex for fibromyalgia protocol
Mucinex taken as set out in "What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Fibromyalgia" by Dr. St.Amand does not cure fibro, but taken right can reverse the symtoms without side effects. I have taken it for nearly 2 years and it has decreased my symtoms.

I have COPD and my doctor prescribed Guaifenesin for lung congestion. When Guaifenesin became an over the counter drug I started taking Mucinex 600 mg tablets. I stopped taking Mucinex for a short time and experienced lung congestion and problems breathing. I started back with Mucinex and have taken them for several years.

I obtained some information on the use of an expectorant for the symptoms of fibromyalgia from the website www.fibrofix.com.Not knowing if there is a true scientific basis for these claims, it still made sense to meas I often feel as though my body were full of "sludge."And it has helped!My pain has decreased; my energy has increased; and my sleep quality has improved.Scientific or not, if it works for me I'm going to use it!

After five people in my family had colds, took Mucinex and then got bronchitis I went to my doctor and he said that Mucinex was the problem, Mucinex will give you bronchitis and Mucinex congeals mucus in your lungs so that you can't cough it up.
