- Mio GPS
I like my GPS. The only thing now I am trying to figure out is how to get "newer address" (new development spots). The neatest thing is if you are traveling in the night time the lighting changes. There are different modes of the mapping. I would just recommend using the manual to learn the different features as I have not yet but have been fiddling on my own. I was told you can walk with it to a location but have not tried it out yet.
Overall, so far so good.

The Mio c230 is a great GPS device but it has a one major flaw. It uses maps that are old and out-dated.While no GPS device is perfect this works pretty well once you get used to the old map - New road contruction has elimated the "detours" or routes this unit takes you on. Voice guidance is better than my wife's Garmin and although its maps are newer it can also take you on some unual routes that will take you in circles if you don't know where you are going.

My friends have GPS's that are very user friendly - this one is NOT.I couldn't even get it to set the correct date (it wouldn't go past 2006).When I emailed the company, they ignored me.Don't buy this -- it doesn't have all the addresses in it either.My employer has been in this area since the early 60's and it won't recognize the street address!

It is unfortunate that Mio does not stand behind their product. I recieved the unit and it took 18hrs to charge via USB cable. The car adaptor never worked out of the box. I contacted Mio support who offered a new car charger. After a week it arrived and had the same issue. Another call to Tech Support and they offered to repair the unit with a 2 to 3 week turnaround. This on a brand new unit! No exchange and I was expected to pay for shipping. When I protested that the unit was defective (battery ... Read More

Good price for a unit that has 64MB of RAM and Windows CE 5, which makes it easily upgradable to newer navigation softwares.
