Average Rating: out of 5 stars
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Amazing Video Game
Way too better than its previous version, faster and more realistic.
Be sure to install the official patch for the game in order to get some new players for the team (last year january transfers) and other tweaks for the game.

You'll be able to find players from all over the world including from Costa Rica, quick hint: Celso Borges is a bargain, hot prospect for the future.

If you like soccer and strategy games this is the game you should get.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good game
Overall it is a decent game. Could be improved with more 'fast-play' options. Manager must be involved in every petty little detail e.g. youth training, which can be tedious.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Been Loving this game,But..
I've been playing this game since it was Championship Manager 2 [season 96/97] with players like George Weah,Baggio,Baresi,Romario still playing.i bought this WWSM08 from amazon, thinking it's way too expensive for the real Football Manager 08 [FM08] in eBay,it's like US$20 extra.so i decided why not try WWSM.

got it and i love it..just like any other CM or FM games...love the features, love the database and it's really fun.

finish the first season and i'm trying to play Italy ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Addicting.. but I wish it could be a little better
This is alright game. Even though I expected improvements, they are still to be made. For example, it is very annoying when team passes forward.. up to the opposing side's goal, ... and suddenly forward or striker passes the ball back (!!) instead of shooting.. what sort of intelligence is it?

Another thing I wish to be improved is the ability to build training complexes and stadiums. I remember playing game '442'. There it had fancy GUI and even the ability to set prices for soda and hot ... Read More

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Failed
I have played most of the Soccer Manager games even when it was Championship Manager when the game first came out. This version has been the worst. I found the results very unrealistic. No matter what tactics or formations I used I lost most games. My friends have had the same problem. The game has been improved but how wants to play a manager game where you management doesn't change a thing. I hope 2009 is better I love the Soccer Manager Series.
