Product Description:
The SteelSeries Ikari Laser mouse features programmable macros for RTS and MMO gamers and a high precision sensor suitable for FPS gamers. Furthermore the Ikari Laser is completely driverless which enables the mouse to remember settings and macros when plugged into tournament computers - without installing any drivers or software. The advanced SteelSeries XY2 laser engine supports resolution settings with increments of only 1 CPI, which for the first time ever gives the user the ability to fine tune the mouse exactly to his personal reaction pattern. Set your windows and in-game sensitivity to default and set the CPI on your hardware instead of forcing software calculations. With the built in LED display in the bottom of the Ikari Laser you are able to adjust your CPI anytime, anywhere - you are completely independent of software or drivers. The gaming grade engine used in the SteelSeries Ikari Laser utilizes a new way of analyzing tracking, reaching 40.000 SPS (or around 5 times the speed of conventional laser technology).

Features:
  • Programmable macro buttons with driverless plug-and-play feature
  • 40,000 samples per second (SPS) for unbeatable tracking
  • 1 to 3,200 CPI (changeable in increments of one)
  • Built in LCD display to help set CPI values on-the-fly
  • Chassis material and shape based on input from professional gamers

Average Rating: out of 5 stars
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Works great for OS X / XP
This mouse is quite sensitive. At first I clicked the right mouse button a lot by accident (just letting your finger rest is almost enough to click it). Scroll wheel works fine, and middle clicking is actually really easy (it doesn't scroll when you try to click). High/Low sensitivity is great for Boot Camp (Windows uses lower sensitivity than OS X). This mouse is very light, and tracks very well on all kinds of surfaces. You need a pretty big hand, I imagine; I scroll with my middle finger, so to ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Good
This is a great solid gaming mouse, after using this i find it irritating when using other peoples computers which seem sluggish. A bit expensive, but it is accurate, and the most comfortable mouse ever.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - To big for small hand finger/claw hand gamers
Nice attempt by Steelseries but I had to sell mine. It was just to awkward for the type of gamer I am which is a finger/claw gamer. After 3 weeks of use I could never get used to it.

If your a large handed or palm gamer check it out. Except for the size I was very pleased with it.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - One of The Best Mouse I've Ever Used
I have used thirty plus mice over the last fifteen years and the Ikari mouse is simply the best I've ever used. The construction is solid and the speed and accuracy is unparalleled.I am a big time gamer and mice ergonomics and functionality is at a premium for my to allow maximum fragging over many many hours. This mouse gives me just that.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Gaming and General Purpose Mouse
My Logitech MX1000 Laser Mouse quit charging, so I had to find a replacement. I play a fair amount of WoW, and this mouse works great for it. It's nice enough that I'm considering buying one to use at work too.

I paired it with a Razer eXactMat and eXactRest Bundle - Mouse Pad and Wrist Rest and it's amazingly smooth. Barely any effort for quick precise movements. Plus the precision is adjustable without software. This mouse doesn't have all the fancy features of some of the competitors. ... Read More
