Product Description:
The Dual-Band Wireless-N Gigabit Router is really four devices in one. There's the dual-band Wireless Access Point, which lets you connect to the network without wires. There's also a built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100/1000 Switch to connect your wired-Ethernet devices together at up to gigabit speeds. The Router function ties it all together and lets your whole network share a high-speed cable or DSL Internet connection. There is also a Storage Link that lets you easily add gigabytes of storage space onto your network using readily available USB 2.0 hard drives or plug in a USB flash disk for a convenient way to access your portable data files. The built-in Media Server streams music, video, and photos from the attached storage device to any UPnP compatible media adapter. The Access Point built into the Router uses a dual-band version of the very latest wireless networking technology, Wireless-N (draft 802.11n). By overlaying the signals of multiple radios for each band, Wireless-N's Multiple In, Multiple Out (MIMO) technology multiplies the effective data rate. Unlike ordinary wireless networking technologies that are confused by signal reflections, MIMO actually uses these reflections to increase its range and reduce Dead Spots in the wireless coverage area. To help protect your data and privacy, the Router can encode all wireless transmissions with industrial-strength 256-bit encryption.Security features -WEP - WPA - WPA2 Security key bits -Up to 256-bit encryption System Requirements -Internet Explorer 6.0 or Firefox 1.0, CD-ROM drive, Windows 98 SE, ME, 2000, XP and Vista, and Network Adapter Dimensions -7.48 x 5.71 x 7.01 (190x145x178mm) Weight -1.51 pounds (683 grams)

- Not a bad router, way over-priced - Storage link useless
I got this router to replace an older machine that was running Smoothwall.
Of course moving from such a platform, the WRT600N seemed quite lacking in features, though it worked ok with wireless, as well, as wired. I have a MBP with an 802.11n card, and it also seemed to have some fairly good performance.
I occasionally have some problems with my internet throughput to slow down to less than 1mbps (I have a 10mbps at home), and I haven't gotten to the source of the problem yet, ... Read More

- nice router but media storage link difficult to setup
Bought this router and other wireless N type accessories in 2008 and thought I would share my reviews.
Excited about the wireless N claims of range and speed, it was enticing enough. However upon setup and use, found the range was greatly affected by normal obstacles such as walls etc. The speed averages around 180mbps which is great compared to the older 54mbps that linksys had in its routers. Connectivity is usually constant with not much drop off, of course distance is a big factor ... Read More

- Bad service from seller
The product arrived May 4th because seller use an incorrect address, He corrected the address after sending me a message indicating I provided a wrong address and more.
Finally the product arrived late, packed in a US postal soft paper bag, inside a crashed box without any shipping protection, no manuals all scratched and dirty, In addition to all this, the item does not work and I will claim the A to Z Amazon Warranty because the seller stop comunicating with me in regards to my claim. Bad experience ... Read More

- VPN Passthrough
In my ignorance I purchased this to replace a Linksys VPN router; which it is not it has VPN pass through. I tried to set up using Vista and tech support from Linksys was helpful but could never get it working. After much frustration and time$ I returned this item which was a breeze and purchased a true VPN router and set up went well. The problem was not the router it worked great just could not get software VPN working on both ends.

- Big Door Stop
After 3 Weeks of headache, I've replaced my old power supply on my previous router(DGL-4300 D-Link which by the way is solid except for the blown power supply after 2 years of great performance) and axed this nightmare. It was an intermittent connection at best and most of the time it wouldn't even see the SSID or network.I read all of the forums and did all of the tweaks and tricks to get this thing to work properly. After a reboot of the router, it would work fine for about 1/2 day and then the connection ... Read More
