Product Description:
Discover the beauty of the sea and take part in various activities such as swimming, exploring marine life or cataloguing tropical fish with this new Touch! Generations title. The beauty of Endless Ocean is that you can do as much or as little as you like. The relaxed and calm atmosphere of the game gives you the freedom to explore special locations such as shipwrecks and underwater ruins, discover and interact with sea-life, complete fish logs or simply relax in the soothing environment. The game begins with you onboard a diving boat, with a crewmember that provides advice and tips on finding the best locations for fish and helps you advance the storyline. Assume the role of the diver, opting to go into the water to explore sea-life at your own pace utilizing tools such as a camera or fish bait. In the cabin on the boat, you can access the fish log to check out the fish that have been spotted, as well as carry out missions like photographing marine life. These missions unlock content, such as new items to use underwater, or different diving gear that can be used to customize your diver. Navigate through the depths using the Wii remote and guide your character using the pointer's cursor, visible as a bright blue dot. Interact with fish or plants and discover new species while building up your fish log. Befriend companions like a dolphin which will become your partner and with whom you can train and swim with. The Wii's unique Wi-Fi Connection Service allows players link up with your friends. By exchanging friend codes, two players may dive and explore the ocean together.

- visuals lacking, but educational encyclopedia feature
I purchased this with the correct expectation that it would have zero plot and just be about exploration and collecting stuff. I also had the expectation that the lack action would be made up for with realistic graphics and animation, animal behavior and interaction, and a high level of detail. I was disappointed there.
I'm a very visual person, and I was pretty disappointed with the jerky animation and the low detail in the ocean environment. I was angered by the completely misrepresented ... Read More

- Relaxing & Detailed
if you want a fun experience pretending you're a diver, I highly recommend this game. But don't expect shark attacks or anything fast paced. This is a relaxing excursion that is more interesting the longer you play. The makers did a great job with the details of the ocean & provide interesting, educational information. I'm not sure if young children would have the attention span to play with it too long, but I guarantee adults that are adventurous & don't mind that there is nothing to kill, only to appreciate, ... - Endless boredom.
Sorry, I found it boring.I thought there would be something to this, but after a couple of hours I put it away.If nothing even remotely exciting happens in the first couple of hours of "playing," I have little hope that things will improve. As someone else said, if petting fish is your bag, great.I can do that at the fish market (dead fish might at least be interesting since you can eat them, too). When I play a video game, I want to have at least a little fun.

- 9 year old daughter loves it
Our daughter loves this adventure game. She spends hours exploring and learning about the creatures, and she never bores of it. I keep thinking she will get to the end (she finished all levels of MySims), but this game is so rich and complex - there is always something new to explore.I am sure a lot of future marine scientists will look back and credit this game as the starting point of their fascination with all things ocean.
