I received this razor as a gift either two or three years ago.It was replacing my Norelco 5814XL, which had lasted several years (replaced blades at least twice on that one), but was not running smoothly, like maybe it had a worn bearing. The first thing I noticed was that this is lighter than my old one.It feels a little cheaper, but being waterproof, I figure it may have more plastic components.The next thing I found was that the charging light would never go off to indicate a full charge. ... I'd say this is built for great shaving, not longevity, but that's O.K.. I've been using it for about two weeks. I've used older Norelcos over the years and they keep getting better and better. If this is not as close as a blade as guys often complain, trust me the difference is almost molecular, and the face feels better after using this with Williams Lectric shave than after blade shaving. Two things used to make me go back to blades. 1) They never lasted more than two years 2) Neck irritation, and ... Read More
