- Kills the iPhone 3Gs
The device itself is fine. The screen is kind of hard to see but the sound is nice.
But, the reviewers who said this works with the 3Gs are only 1/2 right. It does play our music, but it leaves your iPhone completely exposed to power irregularities that can/will DESTROY your phone.
My iPhone 3Gs flashed when I set it on the Tubebase after using it successfully for a few days, then the screen went black and got very hot. I had to get the iPhone replaced, it was fried.... Read More

- when it works, it is great but......
I live in a big city (Seattle) and find the FM band to be pretty crowded. Sometimes it takes multiple times to find a suitable space on the dial. My advice is to pull over while finding the right space, it can be quite distracting to use while I am driving.BUT on the other hand...when I find the right spot, it works quite well as long as I stay in the zone...where ever I can find it.

- Sleek Look, Physically Accessible, but Horrible Reception
Bought this product to listen to my iPod nano and I am very disappointed in its quality in playing music.
Pros:
Look:This product looks great and is one of the reasons why I was attracted to it.It has a great sleek look to it and a wonderful docking section so that your iPod can sit up in your car while you are driving. This makes the product more accessible and prevents you from less distraction while driving.
Installation:Installation was extremely ... Read More

I've gone through I think 4 different fm transmitters. I live in a medium sized city so there are a few open channels but not many. First I bought a Griffin Itrip which worked good but I accidently broke it so I bought another and for whatever reason that one didn't work real well. So I tried a Belkin Tunecast which was terrible, I had to change channels 3-4 times per song just to hear the whole thing.
But even after that disappointment I decided to try the Tunebase after reading some ... Read More

- Easily the Worst Transmitter I've Owned
The only reason I still own this product is because I foolishly lost the receipt. My old transmitter didn't support my new iPod, so I purchased the Belkin, thinking the ClearScan technology would be useful.Needless to say, I was wrong. The transmitter is weak and I rarely get a clear signal. The ClearScan button often tells me to tune to a frequency that is already taken by an FM station with a strong signal.
If you need an iPod transmitter, I recommend you look elsewhere.
