- Not the real thing, but still worth buying
i used to have an original years ago.I still regret trading it for a set of car tires.Seemed like a good idea at the time.This is a good jacket but does not meet the standards of the original.The exterior pockets are smaller than I like and the leather, like what I have found on all of the newer products is a thinner material.Feels soft and is comfortable but I know it will not stand up to the punishment I gave the original.I've had it for over a year though and it still looks pretty ... I wore the real USN leather jacket for 20 years,although this one is a little lighter it's still a good fit and feel.I would recommend it to all.

After reading most of the reviews I guess I expected more.The leather, although not terrible, is definitely on the thin side.When the jacket arrived yesterday the box felt so light I was almost afraid to open it.I ordered an XL Tall jacket and the heft of the package made me think that perhaps they sent something else.Even my wife couldn't believe the light weight of the package.So, we got past that and opened the box to discover a nice looking jacket.It's definitely not meant for cold ...
