- Awful- robs you blind
Here's what I'm dealing with right now.I need to print a black and white document, and I can't, because I'm out of BLUE ink. That's right. You need to keep all of your ink cartridges full (little left is not enough) or you cannot access the basic features of your printer that don't even rely on the color ink.Of course, this is to force you to buy ink you do not need.To make matters worse, this printer often cycles itself which wastes ink in the name of cleaning. So, even if you don't print, ... - INKJETS!!!!
I had been on strike against inkjets for years.Even since the days when the all the colors were in one cart and you'd have to throw away 1/2 full carts because one color was gone.
Here I thought Brother had resolved that.A cart for each color AND a cart for just black.Sweet...or so I thought.Brother, in their infinite lack of wisdom, has built in ways to make this machine drink ink like a thirsty camel in the desert.First, the printer "cleans" itself periodically.Every now and ... This is an awesome printer.I got a really good deal on it, and am very impressed with it's quality. It's wireless, so I can print from my laptop from anywhere in my house (which to me is super-cool).The scan quality is nice, as well as the fax feature.I love its compact size and pop-up screen. On a quick-print setting, it doesn't use a ton of ink.I don't think you can go wrong with this one!

- Best printer I've ever owned
I'm a college student nearing the end of my undergraduate degree. I don't run a print shop. I print, on average, about 50-100 sheets per quarter (let's call it 2-300 sheets/year).
I bought this printer because I needed something that was network compatible (4 computers in the house), and both PC and Mac compatible. I've owned every cheap printer ever made - because they're cheap, and they break. I've owned the MFC-465cn for a year and am in love. I may never buy anything but Brother printers ... Read More

- Nice product, with some issues
Nice functionality. Great networking. But the network scanner functions are a little lacking. Doesn't work at all on my Macs, and the ability to initiate a scan from the unit does not work on the PC. I can only initiate the scan from the PC.
