- Only works for certain apps; poor video quality on HDTV
The cable itself seems fine, but Apple's support for it is terrible!
1. What Apple doesn't tell you on their web site or on the packaging is that you'll only get TV Out for 3 types of iPhone apps: iPod videos, Photo slideshows and YouTube. I'm a software developer and assumed (wrongly) that I'd be able to display whatever's on the iPhone's screen at any time, just like you see in those live iPhone demonstrations. I need this scenario to work in order to make one of my new product ideas ... Read More

With this I can connect My Ipod to almost everything only left the HDMI connection
Rating: - Didn't work for me either
I paid $50 for this locally, and have the right component inputs on my HD tv, but this displayed purple and bright green, and scrolled the image right. I even tried swapping the component RGB cords around to make sure that they weren't mislabeled. Didn't work. So much for our Saturday night movie!

This works perfectly.I think the issue people are having is the confusion between Component and Composite.Check your TV and the Apple product that you wish to connect and make sure you get the RIGHT cable.With the right cable you should have no problems.

The cable works.How can it not be?It's the cable that connects iPod classic to TV.So there is not much choice.
Making old genuine Apple video cable is bad. Forcing customer to buy the video cable that bundles with power adapter is ridiculous. I guess charging $50 for proprietary cable looks really bad, so throwing in a charger makes it looks OK. The charger probably costs $1 to mfr in China anyways.
