I waited until I owned this product for more than a month before writing the review- I was floored the first few days so I wanted to wait until I became an regular user of the product to allow for potential problems/bugs etc.

I remember reading about this when it was first coming out and thought it was cool but didn't bite because it was a little pricey.Now that they have a G2 out the first gen player is cheap I got my 8gb for well under a $100 brand new.Before I bought the player I listened to slacker.com for a month or so and loved it. Personally I think it beats the snot out of pandora.So I have had the player for about 2 months now with very few problems I got it to sync with my wireless netgear router no problem ... Read More

I saw a TV Add on the slacker in late 2008 . it had been out for a year and I never saw it before . I dont Know why this isn't catching on ? I had XM Sat Radio , it was not working for Me . This is Wonderful if You are the Kind of Person Who used to listen to Records all day .its simple to use , I like the older unit , because of the big screen . the website is a little funky sometimes , but they are always updating it . You get to Make Your own stations ,You also Get to Select when they play your favorites ... Read More

This is my third MP 3 player. This is the one I will use almost exclusively. I no longer have to listen to the one radio station avilable at work. I also like to use it for road trips where the radio reception is poor or barely existent. The sound quality is superb. I love most genres, It is comparable to going to a full buffet. I do not have to create playlists. the size is not a problem since I prefer the large screen, easy to read and operate. The battery life plays nonstop my entire workday. Need I say more.

Not only does it have preprogrammed stations like the satellite providers, but you can create your own stations with the bands or songs you like.I love the shared user created stations on their web ...
