- GOT IT FOR "FREE" WITH SD PURCHASE - GOOD, BUT .....
GOOD CARD READER.DOES THE JOB.
BUT!THE WIDTH OF THE ADAPTER WHERE THE PLUG FOR THE USB PORT ATTACHES IS SO WIDE, THAT IT DOES NOT FIT IN MY 2 PORT STANDARD LAPTOP USB PORTS WITH ANYTHING ELSE IN THE SECOND USB PORT.
I HAD A SHORT USB EXTENSION CABLE THAT SOLVED THE PROBLEM.
BUT EVEN WITH A 4PORT HUB ADDITION, IT TAKES UP 2 PORTS OUT OF FOUR, JUST BECAUSE OF THE WIDTH OF THE COMPACT UNIT.

This is a great gadget. It allows you to plug your memory card in it, and then stick it in any USB port to view pictures or edit files. The best part is when your memory card becomes too small for your needs, you buy a larger one and swap it. You keep the reader, replace the card. The fact that it is SDHC means it can also support 4GB and higher capacity cards. Did I mention it is inexpensive?

If you are searching for something to read and write micro sd cards (they still need their adapter cards) this is perfect.Most older card readers cant take the micro, but this one works.It was very cheap and shipped very fast.
