Key User Features
The Skeletool CX has a large knife blade that can be accessed while the tool is closed; to open it, just place your thumb in the thumbhole at the base of the blade and rotate it out until it's fully extended -- which will engage the safety lock. This locking mechanism is noted with a padlock symbol on the tool. To unlock the blade, press the locking mechanism towards the handle until the blade slides past the lock.
Equipped with a universal bit driver, the Skeletool offers real utility options like no other multitool. To change the tool bits, simply unfold the tool and remove the bit from the bit driver -- and pop it out. And replacing bits is just as easy. Just press a new one into position and you're good to go. There's even a spare bit located in the handle side opposite the knife blade. This tool includes the following bits: Phillips #1 and #2, screwdriver 3/16-inch and 1/4-inch.
In the plier jaws you'll find a hard-wire cutter and a regular wire cutter. The regular wire cutter is great for softer grades of wire, but the hard-wire cutter is excellent for heavier jobs -- like cutting and bending fishhooks.

Almost perfect.Many multitools pack so many features that they become hard to use.Not so this one; the design team at Leatherman thought hard about what you really need and stripped it down.The result: locking knife blade, pliers/wirecutter, and bit driver/screwdriver (with a bottle opener as a bonus.)The moving parts are well machined and the bit driver and knife blade lock positively.Rugged without being bulky and slips comfortably into pants pocket.Points off only for somewhat crude ... This is the first multi-tool i have owned and I loved using it for the past year, it has everything that i need. It's light weight makes it pocket friendly along with its built-in carabiner. I will probably buy another in a month or two.
Rating: - A more capable pocket knife
I wear this tool on my belt everyday subject to the rough and unforgiving environment of a warship. It is the unobtrusive carry method and small size that makes it perfect and likely to be on hand when a need arises. I think of it not as a multitool but a more capable pocket knife.

I always like finding something new to give my sons and husband for their birthdays and this product was a hit with all of them.My sons are lineman which it really came in handy and they and my husband are all hunters and will be useful for that, might even get one for myself.

I ordered this as a birthday gift for my leatherman loving boyfriend. He was very happy when he opened the box to see his surprise. This tool is much lighter than the others he has and he finds it much easier to carry in his pocket.The trimmed down design is attractive, functional, and convenient while still the high quality you expect from the manufacturer.
