- Very Good SD card
The Scandisd Extreme III works well with the Canon camera I have well its fast and I have not had any trouble, The mail had it to me it about four days.

If you have an SDHC compatible digital camera or camcorder and you like to take high resolution photos (5MP or higher) or High-Definition Video (720P/1080P), do yourself a big favor... buy this card! I recently bought the SanDisk 8GB Extreme III card for my Canon HF100 and Kodak Zi6 camcorders and I must say the performance is without equal! Salespeople will sometimes tell you that all memory cards are the same, but that is totally untrue. The "no-name" cards you find on some sites give spotty performance ... Read More
Rating: - Write Speeds ~ 14 MB/s v Transcend's 4.5MB/s
I baselined one 8GB SDHC Extreme iii 20MB/s card against two of Transcend's 8GB SDHC class 6 cards and found the write speeds to be 3x as fast.I copied both 100MB and 600MB folders to the Extreme iii card in 8 sec and 41 sec respectively yielding roughly a 14MB/s write speed.Transcend's cards required 23 & 25 sec to write a 100MB folder yielding roughly a 4.5MB/s write speed.

This Extreme III SDHC card is fantastic in my new Canon EOS Rebel XSI, at maximum image quality (12 megapixel) this chip holds approximately 1500 photos (6 megapixel over 2000).
Only problem is standard SDHC card readers (I have two) will not read this high-capacity chip, I must keep the chip in the camera and connect the camera to the computer via the included USB connection cable.Not really a problem very confusing at first... I thought the chip was defective.Even the SanDisk website does ... Read More

After using different types of flash memory cards and thumb drives, I've switched exclusively to SanDisk for their reliability and speed.The Extreme III and IV series represent some of the fastest cards on the market.Since neither my camera nor my SanDisk Extreme card reader can keep up with the transfer rates of the IV series, I saved a few $ and went with the III.Great product!Reliable and fast.While most of their products have a lifetime warranty, I have yet to have one fail.What else is there ...
