- A wonderful chic flick.
This was a wonderful movie but you may need a few tissues to get you through it.It's really touching and you won't be disappointed with the story line.It's about a couple deeply in love and the husband dies leaving her to find her way without him.It's moving, funny, adventurous, touches on mother/daughter conflicts, and, of course, romance.This is one I will watch again and again.

I admit, I avoided this movie for a while because I do not particularly care for Hilary Swank. Finally one night, being alone, and with few options of movies to watch in the ON-DEMAND library, I decided to give it a go.
This is what I liked about it:
1. The story was mostly about Holly and Gerry, and was not the context of her next relationship.
2. I worried that his letters would only cause her to hold to his memory all the more, but was pleased to see how they freed her ... Read More

My husband does not usually like romantic movies... but he was moved and very touched by this one and had been recommending it to his friends!

The first time I watched it... I cried for about 87% of the movie.It was about 5 minutes of crying, 1 minute of not crying through the whole movie.I watched it a second time and it was about 30% crying...Very good performances from everyone.

P.S. I Love You has become one of my favorite movies.I saw it in the theater when it first came out, but being able to watch the DVD has made it really special.The music and scenery are beautiful.The movie runs the gamut of emotions from happiness to grief to hope not to mention just laughing out loud.I ordered the book from which the movie was adapted and enjoyed it as well.
