I bought this toaster because I liked the features & the price was okay. First time I tried to use it on a low setting because I wasn't sure how it would toast...terrible noxious fumes rolled out and permeated the bread which I threw out. After I stopped choking on the fumes and opened all the windows to air out the house, I took the toaster to an outside outlet to try to burn off whatever the noxious substance was that they used to ship this unit from ... This toaster takes a long time to toast bread and longer to toast a muffin.The flimsy material that its made of isunsatisfactory for Black & Decker.Its cool looking on your kitchen counter but totally not recommended unless you are just trying to match your appliances.

This is an excellent toaster, made well with many good features.Does an excellent job.

I received this toaster for Christmas and was pretty excited about using it. I mean it looks great and I have a soft spot for little blue lights on things (mental note to make therapy appointment). Fast forward to my reaction after firing this baby up for a family breakfast - ACK!.
Ok..to be fair the toaster looks cool albeit a little bulky so that's a star in it's favor. It also has a "bagel" setting which earns it another star but that's where the generosity ends.

Overall a good value.We first noticed that a couple of the wires were "dim", but it doesn't seem to effect the operation at all.Toast comes out evenly toasted.
