- Instant Relief for Back Pain
I have advanced osteoarthritis in the spine coupled with osteoporosis. I purchased this Thermophore pad and was very excited to utilize it before bedtime as I have so much pain and my sleep is compromised as well. The pad is definitely moist heat and works well for temporary relief. However, for me, the relief does not last but I didn't expect any miracles. When my pain is so severe that I can't stand it, I put the pad on my back which covers my spine and hips and it calms down the pain.

Be warned, if you don't know that you like this item, you can not buy it, try it and return it!!! Was too hot for me, my husband did not like how it fell down when he tried to use it in his chair. When I called return dept, they said that if we used it, we could not return it!!(!!###***) Go figure... Highly unsatisfactory, and should be noted as part of policy. I would not have spent this much on a product I did not know if we liked if I had known that we could not return it!!!!!Disappointing Amazon ... Read More

The product works as I was told. It gets very hot for deep penetating heat. It goes off automnatically, which is good in case a person falls asleep. I can feel to moist heat heat, so I don't put covers over the pad. I got the large pad, but if a person is using it on a shoulder, it may be too big. I reccommend the pad for back pains or arthritis.

GOOD FOR PLACING ON TOP OF THE BODY, NOT UNDER IT, AS IT BECOMES REALLY HOT AND EITHER BURNS OR SWEATS. I SUFFER TMJ AND LAY WITH SIDE OF FACE ON THE PAD FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES AND MY HAIR WAS SOAKING WET.MY PAIN WAS GREATLY RELIEVED.THIS IS NOT A REGULAR HEATING PAD, DEFINITELY PRODUCES MOISTURE AND IS VERY EFFECTIVE AT PROVIDING RELIEF WHEN MOIST HEAT THERAPY IS PRESCRIBED.

This pad is over 50 dollars. If your like me and coughed at the price tag because your use to buying the cheap sunbeam/walmart type heating pads, let me tell you, I'm now a believer.
