- Good for general photos
I've had this camera for 2 years and taken hundreds of photos with it. I've taken with me on a deployment and to the beach and it still did great. The flash is somewhat tricky to get just right, you just have to experiment. There is a macro setting for super-close ups which will come out blurry if you dont use a tripod. The zoom is wonderful, just be careful not to zoom so much that you use the digital zoom, that will digitize your photos. In general it's great for photos of family and friends, not ... Read More

- Never buy Nikon again
I bought my camera in November 2008.It is now May 2009.I have probably used my camera a total of 2 hours since purchasing it.During that 2 hours of operation, I have gone through countless pairs of batteries--I think many may believe I am exagerating how many batteries this camera has eaten during so little time of operation.Further, I just plugged in into my compouter to upload some photos from the camera to my computer-the screen gave me a message that the new batteries I had installed are ... - Hardly used but acts like its been through alot!
Bought this a a Xmas present for my teenager. He hardly used it for the first few months then recently took it on a camping trip. He took almost 200 pictures which look great but when he tried to download the pin connector wouldn't work. Cable did not fit well and it looks like the pins all bent over. Then the screen went blank also. I got the pins straightned and the LCD screen works again but the connector is shot. Estimate on the repair was almost $90 for a camera I paid $97 for. Should have stuck ... Read More
