This sound is not caused by your Kensington product; however, Kensington has an easy solution. Simply purchase an automotive ground loop isolator for your car that is compatible with a 3.5-mm jack. This simple tool will enable you to use your music in a safe, hands-free environment.

Rating: - Excellent Product - Works Perfectly with iPhone 3G
My 2008 Subaru STi came with an iPod adapter that was not compatible with my iPhone 3G, so I've used the iPhone's headphone plug, connected to the STi's auxiliary input, and have fiddled with the iPhone's screen controls to start, pause and skip songs.Not an ideal solution.

Rating: - It worked for 6 months then...
Everything was going OK until yesterday. I use the adapter for my iPhone 3G almost every day. It was a fairly good performer. The remote sometimes didn't work but would usually reconnect after some fiddling. Yesterday when it didn't I thought to check the battery. While removing the remote from its mount it "exploded" into its five components. It's glued shut and won't just snap back together. I'm going to contact Kensington and see if they'll help. I'll update with the results.

Rating: - didn't work like I wanted to
this works as advertised but sounds quieter than the other ipod connection I have, (I think is a griffin), for it to get a loud sound like I like it I have to turn the volume all the way up and it still is not loud enough, I'd say it sounds 40% lower than the cd player in my car (2007 beetle), also there is a humming noise, but I get that with the griffin also, so that's my car's issue. The remote works ok, I've used it on a friends car and it sounds good enough (2009 SEAT)
Rating: - Great Idea. Big Disappointment
I really wanted to like this product. I actually bought both the LiquidAUX kit and the Deluxe kit. One to use in my car and one on my motorcycle with my iPhone.

I think they worked once or twice with some adjustments. I know people don't like one star reviews and usually mark them as 'not helpful'. Often times they are right because people rate them with one star because the weren't shipped fast enough or some complaint not related to the product. Or they got the one unit that happened ... Rating: - Almost good
Helpful device.

Two complaints:

1) The remote broke when I was installing the battery. Cheep week plastic. I'm fine w/out the remote.
2) The dock connector does not seat very well if you have a case for your iPhone (as most people do).

Too pricey considering those issues.
