The AT&T 993 Corded 2-Line Speakerphone is perfect for a small business that needs a telephone that supports two lines. You can make and receive calls by using the keypad and Speakerphone in the base station. The phone's three-party conferencing lets you conduct business with three people conversing together on three different lines. Automatic line selection means that when the phone is ringing and you pick up, you will be connected to the one that is ringing. You can also set up different ringtones for each of the lines.

A large display provides easy-to-read text for setup and caller information. The phone has a 100-entry memory and a 99-name-and-number caller ID history. Numbers stored in the caller ID history can be dialed directly; and with call waiting-capable caller ID, you can see who is calling even when you are already on the line. If you subscribe to a voicemail service, a red light blinks when you have voicemail waiting. For hands-free operation, the 2.5-millimeter jacks lets you connect a headset.

  • Corded 2-line telephone system with speakerphone
  • Memory for 100 contact entries
  • Three-party conferencing
  • Each line can be set to its own distinct ringtone
  • Headset compatible with built-in 2.5-millimeter jack

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Good potential, but TWO strike and your OUT!
Ordered two phones formy business a little over a year ago. Two weeks after warranty expired the speaker stopped working altogether (couldn'y hear it ring). I ordered a new ATT 993 and put the defective phone in the warehouse for outbound call only. New phone now decides when the speaker is going to work.Sometimes it rings, other times not. Most annoying is getting a dial tone and making a call and the ringing thru to the dialed party and any part of thier convarsation goes silent. NOT RECOMMENDED!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Nice phone for the $$
Am very pleased with this purchase - the phone works as advertized and it didn't take long to read about all of the features.Speakerphone has a decent enough quality and it handles two lines. Well worth the cost.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I love this phone!
This phone replaced a very old similar-style AT&T phone in our house that decided it wasn't going to play nice with our new Verizon FIOS service (high pitched static).I needed a good quality main phone with speed dial, caller ID and speaker phone for home use.The 993 phone is much better quality than I expected - they make things so cheaply these days so I was surprised. It's a good sturdy phone that's got a good weight to it.It was easy to set up and the manual was easy to follow.I like the ... Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Good Phone, poor customer service from AT&T
I love this phone. It has all the features I wanted and works great with my headset. One problem though - The "9" button sticks 90% of the time. When pressed, it emits this very long tone.It isn't a matter of cleaning the phone - this happens on programmed numbers too.I use this phone for business so went to AT&T to get help or exchange it.They have no real humans via phone support and have sent me the same form letter email saying that I could "take advantage of" their exchange program by packaging ... Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Like having an office phone at home
I have a home office and spend a LOT of time on the phone, so much so that I actually wear out headsets and have to replace them every few months. Having a "professional" quality phone is extremely important to me.

The AT&T 993 looks and works as close to an office phone as you can get. People I call tell me they could tell an immediate difference in voice quality. That's important.

But it is the user-interface that make me like this phone more than any other I have used. The control ... Read More
