THIS ALBUM OR CD IS JUST WONDERFUL.THE FIRST SONG BY FERGIE, IS A REMAKE
OF "THE LOOK OF LOVE" IS UPBEAT AND CACTHY TUNE, FERGIE IS NOT MY FAVORITE SINGER BUT SHE IS OUTSTANDING WITH THIS SONG AND thearrangement is just wonderfully done Also it is genius the combination of Italian music and words with the chorus isPortuguese in the song "Lugar comun."
also the song "Waters of March" excellent sing along song. Overall I was very please with this update music of Mr Mendes, I think ... Read More

Occasionally I will buy a CD just because of one song...and I'm not getting this one simply because of "The Look of Love."I have always loved Sergio Mendes' work, but I loathe and detest this remake. The original was a passionate love song...Fergie brings all the excitement of a Pap smear to her version. She not only doesn't sound like her breath has been taken away--I can't believe she has a pulse.

I bought this CD last summer, having never heard of Sergio Mendes or bossa nova...I just loved Will.i.am and was looking for something new and different to listen to...( My tastes run from everything from rauchy nasty gangsta rap to Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys) Well...this has been my year of Sergio Mendes and jazz! I love this CD more and more everytime I listen to it...it just gets better and better.
