At the time we bought it we lived in an apartment with no dogs etc. It is still running but a large house and 2 dogs later, I needed something with some suction to combat pet hair. I bought my Dyson DC-17 Animal June 2008, initially i was thoroughly impressed the suction was great hand tools stowed neatly and did'nt fall off it was Awesome.Well almost a year later I am utilizing the Extended warranty I purchased with my Vacuum.
