I love this phone. Needed a new recorder and didn't want 2 to 3 phones to go with it. Found this, bought it and love it.

Before I purchased a new phone of this type, I consulted Consumer's Reportas well as read all the reviews posted on thisweb site. Uniden seems to be a good name in this industry with a wide selection of features and styles. I specifically chose this phone because it has a headset jack and reportedly moderately good reception.
I find the phone easy to set up and navigate through. Reception is clear and the answering machine works well. Overall, I think this is a good phone.

- Don't buy this phone
This phone is awful.Save your money and buy something else.I don't have high expectations for phones - they just need to work.This one had terrible reception.Constant buzzing and hissing and would drop calls.It's like having a cell phone near a dead zone but it was my landline and I was never far from the base.Also, the handset is awkward and clunky.It tends to hang up if you are doing chores and try to talk without holding the handset for a moment or two.
Rating: - After two weeks of usage, it says unavailable
I bought this phone and found that after two weeks, I couldn't make/receive any calls with this phone. The light flashes and it shows connecting and then says "Unavailable". I have made sure telephone jack line is connected. The phone rings but cannot accept calls and cannot make calls.
If anybody faces a similar problem, please let me know anything I can do before I return it back.
