This Casio G-Shock watch is a highly accurate and durable digital timepiece perfect for travelers, adventurers, or anyone looking for a multi-function, rough-and-ready watch. Featuring atomic timekeeping, the watch automatically sets using radio signals to ensure perfect time accuracy. Charged by solar power, the battery can last up to eight months on a full charge without further exposure to light. The screen indicates the battery level, and the watch comes with a power saving function. Ideal for world travelers or international calls, the watch can be set for 29 time zones (30 cities), with or without daylight savings, and comes with a city code display so you know where you are. The watch also features four daily alarms and one snooze alarm, a countdown timer, a 1/100 second stopwatch, hourly time signals, and an automatic calendar pre-programmed through 2099. The octagonal bezel of dark gray resin gives the watch a distinctive look, and the octagonal digital display window offers an automatic EL backlight with afterglow for easy night reading. The rugged band and case are also made of resin. The watch is designed for enhanced shock resistance, is water resistant up to 660 feet (200 meters), and is backed by a 1-year limited manufacturer's warranty.

Rating:
- Great retro-look; latest high-tech features
I purchased the Casio Men's G-Shock Atomic Tough Solar Watch for three main reasons:
1) I wanted an inexpensive yet rugged watch to wear on weekends or when hiking, etc.
2) I love having the EXACT time. This clock automatically sets itself to the exact time using radio transmissions from the U.S. Atomic Clock in Colorado. This does not require any sort of subscription - it's free and is an automatic process.
3) Solar-powered! No more batteries to change. The ... Read More

- Extremely useful watch except for countdown not being better
The watch looks pretty stylish and it's very functional.
Some key facts about the watch that you might want to know:
-On the front view, you can switch from days view to date view (i.e. SUN to 7/1).
-Countdown only goes to 60 minutes
-Countdown uses increments of 1 minute only
-Countdown requires that you press and hold one button, adjust (+/-), press that button you held before again once, and press start--1 hold + 3 buttons isn't bad.
Rating:
- Outstanding, fabulous, wonderful
This watch is better than a Rolex {for me}.
Did I mention it was a GREAT watch?

- Great watch!
This is a great watch.Like many of us, I own several (7) watches. This Casio replaces my older everyday watch, my Timex Ironman, which replaced my Heuer Autavia chronograph, which I have worn for 40+ years. This watch has the added (and best) features of a rechargeable battery (that three days after removing it from the box continually indicates that it isfully charged) and the self-synchronization with WWV. I wanted GMT capability, which is one of the features, but it requires that I utilize ... Read More

- Perpetual motion machine.
This watch is as close to a perpetual motion machine as I'll probably ever see.
It charges it's own batteries; it adjusts itself to the correct time; it's more durable and water-proof than my own wrist. If this watch doesn't please you, then you just can't be pleased.
