This is a pretty and solidly built lamp. I don't know why I assumed the arm would bend down; it doesn't, the lamp only adjusts up and down in height, though you can turn the head a little.
It makes a nice, almost sunlight-like light and is a great lamp to put in the corner of an office.It will also be very welcome to sit under when working with small beads or other crafts.

Overall, this is a good lamp. The one thing I wish it could do was swivel the light so I could direct it. It only shines down and while this is great for my desk, it's not so good for my computer screen. But otherwise I'm satisfied.
