The KX-TG9344T DECT 6.0 Expandable Digital Cordless Phone with All-Digital Answering System lets you move freely around your home with long range and amazingly clear sound. It also assures greater protection against eavesdropping for all your calls. Operating in the 1.9GHz frequency range, your phone will not conflict with other wireless devices such as computer routers, wireless keyboards, microwave ovens and other common household devices. Now you can program each handset to ring at your discretion. Before going to sleep, simply set the bedside handset to Night Mode so that it won't ring in your bedroom. In the meantime, the handset in the den will still ring when that important call comes in, without disturbing the person who's sleeping. Now you don't have to be holding the phone to see who's calling. Using text-to-speech technology, the Caller ID information is announced between rings. The KX-TG9344T also boasts a talking alarm clock that will tell you when it's time for lunch, and a talking battery alert that politely tells you when your battery is low, with a "please charge phone" reminder. The Light-Up Indicator with Ringer Alert at the base of the antenna will flash quickly to show that you have an incoming call, and it will flash slowly to let you know you have a new message. - Not as good as it sounds
I have owned the KX-TG9344 phones for 6 months now and I am very disappointed. I purchased these phones to replace two Panasonic's KX-TG5632, 5.8 GHz Digital Cordless. My wife dropped hers and busted the speaker and I cannot find a replacement speaker. So I purchased the TG-9344 in December 2008. With 4 phones we have 2 spares now, and believe me we need them. First I noticed the batteries, only 2 AAA rechargeable 630Mah each. A cheap battery for an expensive phone. We both use the speaker phone. ... Read More

These phones are feature rich, clear, excellent range, excellent talk time, and a pleasure to use.While I have voice mail through my phone service provider and did not need the built in digital voice mail feature, I found a really cool thing with these phones.Our voice mail provider uses an intermittent dial tone when messages are waiting which use to require picking the phone up to know you have a message.However, I quickly discovered that these phones "flash" a light on all handsets when messages ... I purchased this "phone" and it has been a piece of junk since day 1.It flashes that I have a message every single time the phone is used...no matter whether the call is incoming or out going!The reception is terrible and there is an echo.When I wrote to Panasonic with my complaints they told me they to send it back and they would replace it with a refurbished set.I did not but a refurbished set and I didn't have this one long enough to produce any wear (maybe 2 months before I complained) so I don't ... I've had this item for several months and I am completely satisfied with its performance for use around the house.I have not carried it outside on many occasions, but it seemed to be okay out there too (30'- 40' from consul with no obstructions).I have used other manufactures products several years ago, but for about the last decade I've primarily used Panasonic because I continued to be satisfied with the design and quality of their telephone products.
Rating: - Replace our old analog system
This replaces my 10 year old Sony cordless phone.

- menu for configuration
- too many new features to learn
- very clear voice reception
- do not need phone line for the other phones, just power supply to charge the phone.
- can listen to voice msg on any phones
- speaker-phone feature on the handset works very well
cons
- the base does not hold the handset well, if don't place in properly, the handset will drop - need to redesign that.
