- Best Rice Cooker for $20 around
Though stated as reconditioned the unit was as-new.
The only thing that would separate it for a store bought item was that it came in a generic brown box and the operation manual was a bit crunched. All other utensils and implements were wrapped like it was purchased new from a store.
Overall a nice *expensive* Stainless Steel looker. Matches nicely with the rest of our other stainless steel kitchen appliances.

The rice cooker is about the same at the rival. The rice cooks so fast that the steamer isn't as much use at I thought it would be as the rice is done far faster than the frozen broccoli or shrimp is.

Like the previous reviewer I've found that it 'browns' the rice at the bottom. Rice is still OK, but I use it mainly for sushi rice cooking and the discoloration is not acceptable so I, too, am in the market for a better machine.

I bought this product last year.It cooks rice OK, except the rice towards the bottom of the pan is brown and crusty.The handle on the lid has become loose and I am unable to tighten the screw. Within a year I am now looking for a new rice cooker.
