Originally from Vancouver B.C. and signed by Chad Kroeger of Nickelback to his 604 Records label (where the band is still signed in Canada), Theory is following up a very successful sophomore album cycle (GASOLINE) that included the huge radio hits "Santa Monica," "No Surprise" and "Hello Lonely." Theory are road dogs and expect to be on the road for 2 years straight to support their new album SCARS & SOUVENIRS. The balanced 13-track effort is the polished and passionate testament to seven years of hard work, heavy touring and diligent attention to its craft. From the swirling grinds of the first single "So Happy" to the soaring melodicism of "Not Meant to Be" and "By The Way," Scars & Souvenirs is a broad-reaching endeavor that puts singer/guitarist Tyler Connolly, guitarist Dave Brenner and bassist Dean Back high in the rock pantheon, achieving creative growth without sacrificing the hard-hitting power that got them here in the first place.
"It's the Scars & Souvenirs of your life," Connolly explains. "The songwriting on the record is really about someone's past or and present, their relationships and how they shape everything. It's more metaphorical than physical scars and trophies. We're just a hard-working band, man. We want to be out there for a couple of years and play these songs to everybody we possibly can." Tyler also contributed guitar and appeared in the video for Chad Kroeger's #1 smash hit "Hero," the theme song to the massive Spider-Man movie.

Rating:
- Great CD!
I purchased this CD because the first time I heard the song "I Hate My Life" I instantly had to find out who it was singing it. Soon as I found out who it was, I got on here and purchased the CD. The whole CD is really good. I had never heard any of the other songs on it until I got the CD, but it is definitely a CD that I listen to over and over again.
Rating:
- Awsome
I thought that I would maybe only like 4 or 7 songs, but I like them all except Bad Girlfriend... I know all the words to it, I just don't like the lyrics that much, but every other song is awsome.

- Everyone Complains
I was just looking over the reviews just to see what everyone said about it after listening to the album, and all i seem to see is everyone talking about TOADM ripping off The Cult, which they actually did not the lyrics arent even the same all they did was sample their music, in which almost every hip-hop record does. But they made the sound more to our time. All they did was made it a harder music track sound its not a bad thing. the album is very good if you are a fan go on get this its worth ... Read More

- R.I.P. Rock....Here Lies a Dead Genre...
good god, ive heardd 3 of their songs on the radio and sampled the rest just to make sure i wasnt wrong (and i wasnt)
bands like this are why i cant listen to the radio any more, its bad enough that most rock stations have been playing the same rock hits for the past 25 yrs, but TOAD has to be the most bland, watered down, talentless load of crap ive heard in a long time
boring radio-rock bands have been slowly but surly killing rock for as long as i can remember, and TOAD ... Read More
