This product works great and has a lot of suction and picks up all kinds of things.Haven't had much luck with the attachment that has the brushes at the end, but the other attachment that is more of a wand attachment works great.My only issue is the short battery time.Wish that was long as I have often used it instead of using the upright vacuum due to this having such great pickup.Also can be used for in the car.If I can find an extended battery for it then this would be perfect for what ... Remanufactured Dyson DC16 Root 6 Handheld Vacuum CleanerI bought this remanufactured on 12/7/08 for $99.It never worked right.At first it would run sporadically, but would surge and slow down as it ran.After about 3 minutes it would start to run smoothly, but then it would run out.(It only lasts 6 minutes.)Eventually it stopped working altogether.I called the company and they told me to try buying a new battery for $75.They would not help in any way and could only say they understood why ... I purchased this vacuum cleaner after reading through many user reviews and I must say I concur with the general consensus. This is a powerful machine with outstanding suction, quality build and fantastic ease of use. The only drawback is battery life. I was using the vacuum to spot clean my house and experienced the dreaded battery cutout after the commonly reported five to six minutes of use. This is a powerful little hand vac that looks like an assault weapon designed by an alien. It sucks, but only for six minutes! Then it is dead for another 2 1/2 hours, which is fine - who wants to hand vac for more than six minutes anyway? It would be nice if it had an on switch that stayed on. You have to hold the trigger in the on position. After reading many negative reviews for the handheld, mainly revolving around the battery life, I was concerned about buying the Dyson. However, after years of using lesser products which have to be replaced often, get clogged easily, have good battery performance for only a few minutes and then begin slowly loosing power I decided I'd take a chance of the Dyson.
