I have two of these items. The first I purchased for my dad for Christmas 2008. I just purchased a second one as a gift for my husband. Neither has had the volume issue that several reviewers have noted. It's a great little GPS.

This GPS is just right if you're looking for an easy to use device.The screen is big enough to be easy to handle and mount low on the windshield.The display is bright and clear.The speaker is clear and good & the volume adjusts to your driving speed, which is great.The touch screen is easy to use as well, and the menus are simple to understand.
My only dislike of this device is that the battery life seems to be very short.Otherwise, I would recommend it to anyone.

Bought tom tom for 80 year old he was unable to install maps properly.He called company and they told him he was only allowed one install and would have to pay a additional 100.00 for another download of maps.I do not live near by but when I found out I asked Tigress direct to give my father another download and they refused.I payed 150.18 to possibly save my dads life

I can't find voice address entry functionality mentioned in the user guide or anywhere in the device.I bought this unit thinking I could simply speak my addresses aloud.

This product was something I had been wanting for quite some time, but I really didn't want to spend as much as they advertise in stores.When I saw the deal on here, I figured it was a prime opportunity to invest.I purchased it, it came promptly, and is awsome!Its so easy to use!!!As soon as I got it, I could plug it in my car - maps were already loaded - and then go!I get lost frequenty, so this is definately something that will help!!It's great!!!
