I wanted an Ipod or MP3 player with enough memory for most of the music I own so I could put my cd's away in a closet and quit tripping over them.I find Ipods to be way too pricey, but couldn't find a nice MP3 player alternative that didn't cost nearly as much as an Ipod.I happened to pick up one of these at a retailer on black Friday for $60 (yes 8gb for $60)and absolutely love it.I bought an 8gb micro sd card and for about $90 have a 16gb player that rocks.As far as the screen scratching ... The sound is great and it fits the whole bible in it, and I still have room for my favorite songs.
the down side is that, there is not much options of speaker system with dock for sansa.

I am very pleased with this purchase -- was not convinced I need an mp3 player but having music to accompany walks and chores is great.The radio feature on this player is a real bonus.

The Sansa is fairly easy to use.However, the Rhapsody software used to sync the music was a little cumbersome.So, we opted to use Windows Media Player to rip the music and simply copy the folders to the media player.
