- great quality image for the money
My Memorex DVD player bit the dust recently, and after a good search I settled on the Sony DVP-NS700H/B as its replacement. Good move! It can't deliver Blu-Ray quality--we're waiting on Blu-Ray prices to fall further--but its image quality on my 42" 1080p LCD TV is really good, better than I'd expected--and a HUGE improvement over the quality of the video from my old Memorex player. I think it's an excellent value. (Plus CDs played in it sound great through my home theater sound system.)

- It was great!!!
This DVD player was great and I was very satisfied. The DVD view was perfect picture and sound. It was working excellent. The DVD player was not too heavy. I was enjoying DVD movies and music DVD's. It was great.

- WoW! Great picture quality
Picked up one of these units today to replace an ailing ten year-old Pioneer DV-414 DVD player. Was looking for something inexpensive and this Sony unit seemed to fit the bill. - It's a decent little unit
For the price it is a good little unit.I like the HDMI output on such a low priced unit.Image quality is good on my 1080P LCD TV.Don't expect the moon and the stars for a unit at this price but if you want an inexpensive unit that does a good job I recommend this unit.

- no divix but oh well. no usb, oh well.
yeah this DVD player is pretty sweet. i do like the way the samsungs are laid out, they are a bit more user friendly but ive found they can be a bit glitchy. sony products seem to be built better.
my only real requirements for an upscaling dvd player was optical outputs and this one had it. as the other players played divix, there was no optical output to be found. besides my xbox plays divix, so for me, i didnt care.
the features on the front on the dvd player were only ... Read More
