I needed an inexpensive printer, scanner, copier. This one fits the bill.
I've been pleased with its performance.

- Shockingly bad installation routine
It has taken about 4 hours of trial and error to get the s/w to install. Including serial install/uninstall/download patches. It is still not working. I will probably take it back. VERY UNIMPORESSIVE. HP should do better than this.

The reason I don't give it 5 stars is I encountered consistent paper jam when printing one of my pdf files, which prints fine on the HP 6840.

I got this printer after my last trusty HP died.I wished I had researched because this was the worst decision.If you print anything with a lot of color, be sure to buy as much ink as the store sells.I have never bought so much ink in my life.I will never recommend this printer to anyone.
