- From Box to Screen in Under 10 minutes...
I ordered this DVD player from All Region World through Amazon. Product arrived almost instantly. I opened the box, followed the easy directions for changing the default PAL format to NTSC (it took two attempts), and was watching a rare 40 year old French New Wave film "Les Stances a Sophie" (also available on Amazon!) in under 10 minutes...and I am NOT tech savvy!
Caution: 1. The quick instructions for changing format (PAL->NTSC)were on 1 page...look for this, don't throw it away in ... Read More

- Great
This unit is great , I purchased it from all region world, I emailed them before buying ,to check that it is indeed region free and that it would play my English dvds as well as American, the seller guaranteed that it would, as well as upconverting to 1080p, my package arrived promptly and I have had no problems with this unit, it plays all my region 1 and 2 dvds perfectly, initial setup was easy and the quality was what I expected from pioneer, the player itself is a nice slim design and looks good ... - Great player if you know how to choose the right seller
Pioneer doesn't officially make an all-region version of this player, so what you get depends on who did the custom modification and using what (hardware/software). The all-region feature may or may not have been properly enabled or the "special" capability may be "lost" after unplugging the unit from the outlet if not properly enabled. I bought one that was enabled properly (I believe so far after more than a few months of usage) and works fine for any region (1 to 6) even after an extended power outage ... Read More

- best region free dvd player out there
First of all, there are two versions of this model on Amazon, Region 1 and Region Free. I see that most of the sellers do not know the difference between the two versions. I bought mine from All-Region-World and they confirmed that it was guaranteed to play my European Region 2 DVDs and it does.
Truly, the Best unit out there!! Picture is amazing! I connected it to my new HD TV using the HDMI cable and the Pioneer solved problem of pixelated picture. Great 1080P upconversion and plays my Divx ... Read More
