Staub silicone tools are made of cast stainless steel sheathed in red silicone, heat resistant to 240C.The ergonomic handle, with "panhandle" effect provides better handling and the 18/8 brushed stainless steel provide good rust resistance.On the outer side of the tools you will find that the ferrule and pommel are flat, thus raising the handle from the work surface and avoiding stains.The ferrule stopper will also keep the utensil on the edge of your saucepan and not falling into your sauce.

I love this spoon! It is by far the best silicone spoon I have ever used.I was a bit turned off by the lip on the handle, and the bend when I first received it but that was because I was use to poorly designed products.This spoon is perfect for cooking and that lip prevents the spoon from sliding around when you lean it against your pot.The steel is thick enough to handle heavy turning and heat is not transfered at all.Great cooking tool. This came as a bonus with the cocotte I ordered...and I'm glad it did. This is the spoon I have reached for the most ever since I got it. I've used it for stir-fries, curries, stews, you-name-it. Seems sturdy and well-made.
