Although there have been a couple of times it has taken us 'the long way around' it does exactly what we needed it to do.Great item for the price.

i've tried quite a few gps units and have yet to find one that's ideal. almost all of them are better than no gps, with the possible exception of this unit.
my major complaint is not with its performance per se, it's with the design of the car power adapter. sometimes it slides in right away, but more frequently, i have to fight it. it can take me 5-10 minutes to get it to mate properly. admittedly i may be uncoordinated, but i have not had any similar problem with any other unit.

Upon receiving this item I immediately open and started to use it. It is very easy to use and navigate. However, when you go through the menus you are not able to exit back to the main menu. You have to go back several time to get to the main menu. The main problem I have with this unit is that it takes an absurd amount of time to locate satellites one the system has been turned off. I downloaded a tool from Tom Tom Home that was suppose to help it located satellites faster and this has not helped. ... Read More

I recently got a Tom-Tom 330 S XL as a gift although I really never have seen much sense in GPS systems.I've always been of the thought that if I didn't know my destination and how to get there, maybe I should stay off the road.
Yes, I've used GPS systems before, but most of them were disappointments due to confusing user functions, inaccurate mapping, etc.
This unit changed all that.

I paid $160 at Xmas time. Excellent price. Good return policy. Easy to use. A must have is the feature that it says street names unlike some others. Make sure you get the right one first, I got the XL one and doesn't speak names. Easy to return
