Product Description:
Prepare to fight...back tears of laughter watching this ferociously funny Unrated Pit-of-Death Edition of Meet the Spartans - with ruder, cruder footage not shown in theaters and an army of hysterical, historical special features! The battle begins when the heroic Leonidas, armed with nothing but leather underwear and a cape, leads a ragtag group of 13 - count'em, 13! - warriors to defend their homeland against the invading Persians, whose ranks include Ghost Rider, Rocky Balboa, the Transformers, and a hunchbacked Paris Hilton!
Amazon.com:
With Meet the Spartans, the creators of Date Movie lampoon penguins, Paris Hilton, American Idol, Britney Spears, Dancing with the Stars, Stomp the Yard, Brangelina, Lindsay Lohan, product placement, Sylvester Stallone, Transformers, and pretty much every other obvious target that's emerged since they made their last flick, Epic Movie. The main subject of mockery is 300, the visual-effects laden Greek warrior movie, the relentless homoeroticism of which is not-so-subtly pointed out with a mixture of scatology, phallic humor, painted-on six-pack abs, disco songs, blows to the groin, and spitting--lots and lots and lots of spitting. There's nothing remotely clever about Meet the Spartans, and even fans of pop-culture cuisinarts like Scary Movie may feel the genre is losing its oomph, but if you're looking for a shotgun blast of lowbrow gags, this is it. Along for the ride are Sean Maguire (The Class), Kevin Sorbo (Hercules), Ken Davitian (Borat), Diedrich Bader (Napoleon Dynamite), and Carmen Electra, without whom no movie of this kind would be complete. The only person who emerges with any credibility is comedienne Nicole Parker (Mad TV), who does a pretty spot-on impression of Ellen DeGeneres. --Bret Fetzer

- DO PEOPLE ACTUALLY PAY TO SEE THIS C R A P? !
Even with a running length of a little over an hour 'Meet The Spartans' runs out of steam after the first couple of minutes. I can't believe anyone paid to see this film without demanding a refund. Ok I know most of these films are only mildly funny anyway, but this one is really lame even for these types of films. If it's on cable watch the first 15 minutes or so, you'll be fast forwarding through the rest!
Rating:
- Even worse than Disaster Movie.
This film had no direction, wasen't the least bit funny, and had way, way to much dancing.Half the movie is a stupid gay dance off to gay music.....the film is bad enough but after 10 mins of dancing I was ready to walk out. This movie and Disaster movie were like being in a rap/hip-hop club with people dressed up in queer costumes and dancing while making lame jolks.....who the hell would want to go threw that....and pay money for it no less.Don't support this garbage, it's a waste of time. ... - Could be the Dumbest Movie Ever...
Carmen Electra's rack was the only saving grace for this movie. What happened to the good old spoofs that were actually funny, like Airplane, Naked Gun, Hot Shots? They weren't even trying here. It's obvious the actors were interested in a paycheck only and certatinly not worried about the damage that could be caused to their careers after appearing in such a piece of crap. Did the film "300", a nerdboy's wet dream of bulging codpieces and greased pecs, create a genre that needed so desperately to ... Read More

- Choose your next spoof carefully, Friedberg and Seltzer. It may be your last as filmmakers.
Who made this movie, 11-year-old boys? I had to turn it off after about 10 minutes. And yes, I had already witnessed massive vomiting, and twoindependent testicle gags in that time. One of which included a penguin. Which is interesting, considering birds have internal gonads regardless of sex. But I suppose the creators weren't going for realism since the penguin also calls Leonidas a "cracker" (yes, the racial slur) and mentions eating Taco Bell as it shat on his face.
