Product Description:
Their third studio album, following 2006's "Classics." The characteristic guitar style is still present here, but there are an abundance of new textures, from Wurlitzer and mellotron to live rather than programmed percussion. The album will be preceded by the release of the limited edition 7-inch "Shiller", a completely beatless track which opens the new album.

Album Description:
LP3 is the third studio album from Ratatat, the follow-up to 2006's Classics and 2004's self-titled debut. Since the release of Classics, Ratatat have toured relentlessly, headlining shows around the world. They haveadded their unique sound to a remix of Bjork's `Wanderlust' and released the second in their acclaimed `Remixes' series, featuring bootleg remixes of Notorious BIG and Young Buck among others. 'Remixes Volume II' also featured exclusive new freestyles from Beans (Warp) and Despot (DefJux).

Average Rating: out of 5 stars
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Heard the Name, but never checked it out
I can't say I enjoy the entire album but man does Mirando and Imperials do it for me! I don't need to hear any other tracks. A beautiful mix of Dance Hall, Hip Hop and Electronica. I am now a fan and will be checking out other albums to purchase songs.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Ratatat LP3
Great CD. Proably Ratatat's best so far. The beats and tone to the songs are more mature and natural sounding. I love it.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great Product, Terrible Delivery Time!
The CD is great, and exactly what I wanted. But the shipping/ delivery time was TERRIBLE!! I started to wonder if I was going to even get my purchase. But alas, it came...17 days later. I was a little worried when it hadn't come, as it was getting closer to Christmas. But it made it on time. So if you're ordering from this seller for a gift for a certain date, be sure to allow PLENTY of time for delivery.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Amazingly weird and awesome stuff
Occupies the musical niche that exists somewhere between Beethoven, Bob Marley, and Daft Punk. The concept sounds pretty impossible, but I can't really think of specific genre of music this album comes closer to. The mood of the songs tends to veer between slightly dancey, slightly melancholy, slightly angry, but when they pull out all the stops (as in Shempi, which I think is track 7) the effect is absolutely epic.

So overall, as weird as it is, I can't recommend it enough.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - better than the last album!
i was wary at first, but plain and simple, this album has much more depth and new concepts. its lovely.besties, mirando and shiller and mumtaz khan.but its all good (besides black heroesthat song title makes me sound racist)
