- Wintertime in Wisconsin!
This was a good buy for us. We live in Wisconsin and have a woodburning stove in our house. The kettle makes a noticeable difference and makes the air less dry. It also looks nice because it matches our black stove.
I guess the inside is not treated because it rusts pretty badly. The outside, however, stays nice and black. Also, it is pretty heavy to move so we have been taking a cup of water TO the stove to fill the kettle, instead of bringing the kettle to the sink.
Rating: - good deal
A good kettle for adding humidity to the air on top of a woodstove. Do not buy this for drinking (tea, etc...) it was not made for that; it develops an interior rust crust after about a week. I would buy this again for my woodstove.

I received this as a gift. I had put it on my wish list and was thrilled to have received it. I knew it would be heavy and bulky and was ok with that. But, rust is a really problem. I won't drink water out of it as a result. Needless to say, I am disappointed. I plan to use it though as a humidifier with the dry air caused by our gas heat.

This kettle was not at all what I expected. For starters the thing is so darn heavy that even when using two hands, it's like trying to lift a large watermelon. I also had expected for it to have an enamel coating on the intereior, but unfortunately it didn't. Therefore, If you even leave one drop-however minute-of water in it, it will have developed rustthe following day.
