- Good For The Money; Buy w/ 500GB Hard Drive
This product is fine for the money. Just don't expect too much in terms of playback quality or storage. The playback quality just doesn't do my camera justice. It's just fine, however, for most applications. The biggest problem is with storage. The 250GB hard drive is only enough to store 2 days worth of continous, 24-hours-a-day recording on the "highest" quality setting at 30 frames per second - and that's with just one camera! You can reduce the quality setting to increase the storage, but the ... Read More

- Pretty good, if/when it works.
I had a few issues with this product and had to send it back; I suppose I should have listened to all the negative reviews.
As for my experience, the remote would randomly not work, the hard drive would not always be detected and while motion control alarm is active it often freezes to a constant *BEEEP* and the unit would become unresponsive. It appeared to happen whenever there was constant movement in frame.
I'm afraid I cannot recommend this unit.

- Worst ever, Q-See Chinese crap.
Worst ever, Q-See Chinese crap. The motion detect did not work nor did external triggering. The schedule recording did not work. The LAN access NetViewer work bat over internet time out. Searching recorded events are dummies. The all things is not worth even 1$. Do not waste your time and money with this crap.

- Thumbs Down
I gave it 1 star for price & features, but unfortunately the motion detect did not work nor did external triggering. Customer service did not respond to email after a week & got no response to date with the online RMA process on the Q-See site.I sent the DVR back to Amazon for a refund and am looking for a different brand.Hopefully the 4 Q-See cameras I also bought continue to work since dealing with Q-See would be useless.

- Does the job needed for security.
With a little help, does everything it says. Can do more but not necessary for my needs.
