Don't believe the hype: though some critics and viewers decried the sophomoreseason of the hit fantasy series Heroes, the core of the program remainedas strong as in its debut network run. To be sure, the 2007-2008 Writers Guildstrike hobbled the show, and producers stumbled by stranding two of its mostintriguing characters: Super-charged Peter Petrelli (Milo Ventimiglia) is takenout of the action after being struck with amnesia, while Hiro (Masi Oka) is sentto feudal Japan, where he encounters his own idol, Takezo Kenzei (David Anders). Both are overcomplicated story arcs, even by Heroes standards, and theirconnection to the rest of the season occasionally requires some mentalgymnastics. But the crux of the season--the Company's development of thepower-draining Shanti virus and its potentially devastating effects on bothaverage citizens and superhumans like Niki Sanders (Ali Larter), The Haitian(Jimmy Jean-Louis) and primary villain Sylar (Zachary Quinto)--is solid, gripping material. The introduction of new characters like the lethal Maya(Dania Ramirez) and Kristen Bell as the electrically charged (in both theliteral and figurative sense) Elle Bishop also up the dramatic stakes, even iftheir presence may require a scorecard for some viewers. In short, the few kinksin the armor of Heroes: Season 2 ultimately don't detract from the show'sdrive and vision. Season two spreads its supplemental features across all fourof its discs; chief among these are commentary tracks by the cast and crew onall eleven episodes. The participating talent ranges from creator Tim Kring andstars Ventimiglia, Oka, Quinto and Greg Grunberg to composers Lisa Coleman andWendy Melvoin, which helps to provide a wide variety of information about almostevery aspect of the show's production. Featurettes cover everything from thehistory of Takezo Kenzei to in-depth looks at scenes from the season, while"Untold Stories" explores storylines that were left unfinished due to thewriters' strike. The key extras are, of course, the alternate ending to theseason finale (which is unfortunately revealed by the rear cover-art text) andan info-heavy sneak peek at Season 3. --Paul Gaita

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Did not get the DVD
I never got this DVD and never got any response from the seller.I also did not get a credit.

I am very unhappy with this seller.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - It wasn't love at first view
I caught one of the shows from the first season on cable and was it was not an instant hit. However, I ended up watching the whole season 1 and was hooked...

I don't believe that this season was as good as the first or the third...

This show is about a variety of different people with super powers. Everyone has their own story line and they all come together to more or less "save the world".

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Not as great as the 1st season
Although I really did enjoy this season, it wasn't as good as the first.Their weren't as many surprises and plot twists, but I think that was mainly due to the fact that this season was affected by the writer's strike. If you like Heroes, I would recommend this.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great buy
I enjoyed watching season 2, only wish is that I had purchased season 1 thru Amazon, I payed entirely too much at a local store. Watch it and get hooked.
