- Great Book
Wish I had this book when I first got my dog.Made a lot of mistakes in the beginning and paid for it.Biggest mistake was not taking the role of pack leader and as a result was challenged quite a bit.Fortunately, after watching a lot a dog training programs prior to reading this book,it reinforced what I had already learned and now practice from the television.Had I gotten this book first, I would have saved on a lot time in front of the tube.

- Solid advice for understanding your dog
The book provides good advice for training your dog especially if you have a dog with aggression or other tough behavior issues.
Rating:
- Not worth paying for
The information in this PAMPHLET is in all of her books so not even worth paying for. Altho I love her approach to training and she has much helpful info in all of her books I felt this was just an effort to get a few bucks extra.
Rating:
- Great Little Book~ Perfect for the new dog owner
This is a wonderful book for Dog Trainers to recommend or give to their clients & students for their first lesson or class. Patricia McConnell is great and this book gets right to the point and is small enough for a new student to read and not be overwhelmed with too much training theory and long explanation. Worth reading for the experienced trainer also.

Most people know these things, I think? I knew the pamphlet was short but I thought it ... Read More
