- Good saucepan but you can get better for less.
I've seen chefs on TV use this All-Clas saucier so I figured it must be something pretty special. It isn't. It's not a bad pan by any means, but it's nothing special. You can get an All-Clad 4 qt. or 6qt. saucepan for less and you'll get the same performance.
A real weakness of this pan is the lid. The lid is stamped stainless steel and does not fit tightly. So if you were thinking about using this for any type of braising or steaming go with a different pan. The lid will not hold in ... Read More

- Excellent pan
This saucier is a great addition to my collection. It is a great size and easy to clean. It performs as well, if not better than I expected.

- All-Clad LTD 2-quart Saucier Pan
I bought this pan because I was looking for something "Made in the USA."This pan lived up to my every expectation.I use it as a small saucepan. It is great for cooking rice, potatoes, noodles, soup, etc for two people. It washes easily; I use Soft Scrub and a Dobie sponge. It heats up evenly but it is not overly heavy. It is also pleasing to look at.I only wish it had a glass lid.

- Great little pan (1 Qt Saucier)- but balance is a bit off.
(This review is of the 1 Qt. Saucier) All-Clad makes battleship built gear and this is no exception.Even heating, quick temperature transmission and lovely gently curved sides for whisking sauces. The 1 quart size is convenient for when you need a small amount - melting butter, making glaze and other small whisk sauce type activities. The main problem is that the small bottom area, sloping sides, and relatively heavy handle make for a somewhat tippy pan.Unless you have at least 2-3 ounces in ... - All-Clad 2-Qt. Saucier: high performance pan for risottos, roux, and sauces.
The gently sloped sides of All Clad's 2-Quart Saucier exactly match the curve of All Clad's stainless balloon whisk (and many other balloon whisks for that matter). This gentle curve, combined with the very smooth tough stainless steel interior make this a great surface for frequent stirring. All Clad's incredible heat transmissive properties allow you to deftly adjust temperature - a must for delicate sauces, roux, and risotto. Of course this pan can be used as a general purpose sauce pan as well. ... Read More
