This Premium Push Button Refrigerator Water Filter is used in Whirlpool and KitchenAid side-by-side refrigerators with filter access in the base grille. Simply press the release button to remove and replace the Refrigerator Water Filter. While retaining beneficial Fluoride, this NSF Certified Refrigerator Water Filter reduces cysts, asbestos, chlorine taste and odor, particulates (class I), lead, and mercury. I have a Sears Kenmore refrigerator (made by Whirlpool) that uses this filter. Went to a factory outlet to get a filter for this unit around the holidays in December 2008, and ran into the rudest salesman I had the displeasure of meeting. He was told, amoung other things, that he could keep the filter and where to put it. I thereafter left the facility and returned home, deciding to check online for the item. After viewing Amazon.com, it was quickly noted that a filter 2/pack could be had for $63.00 ... Read More

This was the best price deal I was able to find for my side by side Kenmore refrigerator. According to product description this item should have up to 6+ levels of filtering, which should be much better from the one I ordered about a year ago. However, Item I received was different from what was advertised, actually exactly the same that I ordered a year ago with only a few levels of filtering.
Contacting Amazon didn't help anyhow. Buying filter in local Sears store for 2X price was not an option. ... Read More

Very good and easy to install filter. It takes the taste of chlorine and other products out of the water.

Easy to install, and clean, nice tasting water. Does need to be changed frequently. This could be the water quality or cannot rule out that the filter itself has a short lifespan.

I felt that this shipment took forever and when I sent an email asking for status I never received any responce back. I am spoiled by Amazom and I am so used to a quick deliver....I was kind of dissapointed but the price was great!
